My laptop starts up and then shuts off

When I start up my laptop, it runs for a couple minutes and then it will just shut down without warning. I dont know what could be wrong with it. Any help?

Robert -

I generally find this to be a repairable temperature related issue. Laptops tend to grab dust and fibers and they get caught in the cooling system. Over time the particles build up until it can't move enough air through to cool the unit. A common symptom is that it will run for a few minutes then shut down. This is a great question as a lot of people replace their laptops when this happens. It is a reasonable repair and should be done by a professional. This repair is often shipped to us from out of town customers.
